“Healthy Eyes, Bright Future – Eye Screening and Glasses Donation with PT Maybank Indonesia Finance”
PT Maybank Indonesia Finance, a leading financing company in Indonesia, in collaboration with the GNOTA Foundation, launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. The program involved eye health screenings and the donation of eyeglasses to 150 underprivileged children at SDN 01 Pademangan, North Jakarta, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
The event was attended by Mr. Alexander, President Director of PT Maybank Indonesia Finance, along with division heads and team members from PT Maybank Indonesia Finance, Mr. Darwis Mawardin representing the GNOTA Foundation and his team, as well as Dr. Sri Agustin and her team from RSU Andhika.
On this occasion, Mr. Alexander, the President Director, stated, “This opportunity is one of the ways we can give back to society, and I would like to thank the school and the GNOTA Foundation for giving us the chance to do good. While we are focused on business, we must also care for others. Our company philosophy is to contribute to society by focusing on education and health. Today, we have achieved both of these goals in a school environment, which is the main pillar of education. We chose eye health because our eyes allow us to see the world, to learn, and to perceive everything. Eyes are the windows to the soul, and we hope this program will be beneficial.”
Mr. Darwis Mawardin, representing the GNOTA Foundation, expressed his gratitude to PT Maybank Indonesia Finance for their support in implementing this program.
Mrs. Juningsih, the headmaster of SDN Pademangan Barat 01 Pagi, expressed her appreciation for the support, stating that this activity was very beneficial and long-awaited as no other institution had provided such a program before.
We believe that eye health is crucial, especially for children. Healthy eyes enable children to learn, play, and interact with their surroundings better. Through this program, we aim to provide access for children from underprivileged families to undergo screenings and receive eyeglasses if needed.
We believe that this eye health screening program is the first step towards building a healthier and brighter future generation. Going forward, we at the GNOTA Foundation hope to continue our partnership with PT Maybank Indonesia Finance to develop programs that benefit Indonesian children.
